Anne Boden
Anne Boden is founder of Starling Bank. A career banker and technologist, she built Starling as a fully licensed UK digital bank and later its Engine BaaS platform.1
Career
Born in Swansea in 1960, Boden studied at Swansea University and earned an MBA from Middlesex University. She held leadership roles at Lloyds, Standard Chartered, UBS, ABN AMRO, RBS and Allied Irish Banks (COO) before founding Starling in 2014. She received an MBE in 2018 and stepped down as CEO in 2023.
