Chris Britt
Chris Britt is co-founder and chief executive officer of Chime. Raised in Mount Vernon, New York, he co-founded Chime in 2013 to deliver fee-free mobile banking through partner banks.1
Career
Britt graduated from Tulane University (history; economics minor), worked at Accenture, then held product and general-management roles at Visa and prepaid-card company Green Dot. Those experiences shaped his view that fee-heavy retail banking underserved working Americans. With Ryan King he launched Chime in San Francisco around fee-free checking, early direct deposit and credit-building tools—features that became common across American digital banking.
