David Vélez
David Vélez is co-founder and chief executive officer of Nubank. A Colombian entrepreneur and former Sequoia Capital investor, he co-founded Nubank in São Paulo in 2013.1
Career
Vélez moved to Brazil after seeing how concentrated, high-fee banking limited access across Latin America. With Cristina Junqueira and Edward Wible he launched a no-fee purple credit card managed by app, later expanding into NuConta, lending and a multi-country NYSE-listed franchise.
